Violent Road Rage Attack Near Reading Cinema

A brutal attack unfolded on London Road at around 8pm last Wednesday (28/10). A man in his forties was driving when another motorist hurled an object at his vehicle. Moments later, both cars stopped at a red light near the Vue cinema junction on London Street.

Man Pushed and Punched After Road Rage Incident

After stopping, the two men got out of their vehicles. The offender shoved the victim into a roadside planter. When the victim tried to recover, he was punched hard in the face. The victim suffered serious facial injuries, including a fractured left eye socket and broken nose. He was treated at Royal Berkshire Hospital.

Police Seek Witnesses and Dash-Cam Footage

  • The attacker is described as a black man in his mid-twenties.
  • He is about 6ft tall, with a large athletic build and short dreadlocks.
  • He wore a plain black t-shirt and drove a black hatchback car.

“I am appealing for any witnesses of this incident, or anyone who was driving in the area at the time and may have captured something on their dash-cam to please get in touch,” said Detective Constable Sasha Dowson from Reading police station.
