Hit-and-Run Horror in Canterbury: Driver on the Run After Late-Night Smash
Police are hunting for witnesses after a serious crash in Canterbury left one driver badly hurt.
Crash on Ashford Road
Just after midnight on Thursday, 1 October 2020, a red Subaru slammed into a white Vauxhall on Ashford Road, Thanington.
The Vauxhall driver was rushed by Kent Police to a London hospital with serious injuries.
Subaru Driver Flees, Then Arrested
The Subaru driver reportedly fled the scene but was caught shortly after. Arrested on suspicion of drug driving, he was taken to a local hospital with leg injuries.
Police Ask for Help
Officers are searching the nearby River Stour and continuing their investigation. They urgently want dashcam footage or any information on the crash or vehicles involved.
