Man Pummeled and Robbed of Wallet

A 39-year-old man was viciously assaulted by a group of men, who kicked and punched him during the attack. The gang made off with his wallet. The victim suffered minor injuries including scratches, bruises, and a small cut on his right eyelid but did not need hospital treatment.

Police Seek Eyes and Ears of the Public

The attackers were all men, around 20 years old. One described as white, tall, slim, with very short hair—but not shaved—delivered a key kick during the assault.

“This was very frightening for the victim and it was fortunate he wasn’t more badly hurt,” said Detective Maggie Tse from Abingdon police station. “We appeal to anyone who saw this group or has any information to come forward.”

Witnesses can report tips by calling the non-emergency number 101 or online, quoting reference number 43200294199.
