Mercedes Crashes into Bexley Home in Shocking Evening Crash

This is the terrifying moment a Mercedes went flying off the road, smashing into the front garden of a house in Bexley. The full drama was caught on a doorbell camera on Hurst Road just before 8.40pm on Saturday.

The footage shows the Mercedes lifting off the ground as it slams into a parked car on a driveway. The parked vehicle is shoved sideways amid a shower of debris flying everywhere. A nearby telegraph pole and garden walls of two homes were smashed, police confirmed.

Homeowner Describes “Miracle” No One Was Hurt

Karen Hearn, 35, was inside her home with her child when disaster struck. She called it a “massive shock” when she heard the enormous bang outside.

“When the car hit the garden wall, all the bricks flew off onto the house, smashing the window of my unborn child’s nursery.”

“Fortunately, my child was in my bedroom at the time. I had no idea what would have happened if anyone had been in the nursery room.”

Locals Call for Urgent Action as Speeding Worries Grow

Duncan, 61, Karen’s neighbour, rushed outside when he heard the crash. He said he wasn’t surprised this happened, warning that speeding is a constant problem on Hurst Road.

“We were shocked but this is not the first time something similar has occurred. Cars are constantly speeding down this road.”

“There’s a school nearby, so it’s dangerous for the kids too. Something urgently needs to be done to stop more crashes like this.”

Two Taken to Hospital with Non-Life Threatening Injuries

Emergency crews treated two people at the scene before rushing them to hospital. Thankfully, their injuries were not life-threatening. Meanwhile, police cordoned off the area as they investigate what caused the shocking crash.
