Brighton cops seize drugs and cash in major A259 bust

Three arrested after drugs stop

Brighton police have swooped on a suspicious vehicle on the A259, arresting three men linked to cocaine dealing. Officers pulled over the car on March 9th and uncovered what they believe to be Class A drugs, a stash of cash, and several mobile phones.

Man without an address hit with immigration probe

A 26-year-old man with no fixed abode was grabbed on suspicion of drug supply and overstaying his UK visa. He’s now in the hands of Immigration Services as enquiries ramp up.

Drugs haul uncovered at linked address

Officers from Brighton and Hove’s Tactical Enforcement Unit raided an address on St Georges Road connected to the suspect. There, they found large amounts of Class A drugs and more cash, tightening the noose on the operation.

Two more held, then released on bail

Alongside the main suspect, a 36-year-old from Hove and a 43-year-old from Ascot were also arrested for drug supply. They have since been released on conditional bail while investigations continue.

Investigator Jonny Craze said: “This was a fine example of proactive policing. Stopping the vehicle and following the intelligence led to this significant seizure. We’ll keep working hard to make Brighton and Hove a no-go zone for drug dealers.”
