Two Dead and Teen Injured in Shocking Oldham Crash
A horrific crash on Ripponden Road, Oldham, has claimed two lives and left a young teenager badly hurt. A 42-year-old woman and a 15-year-old girl died at the scene, while a 13-year-old suffered serious injuries.
Driver Arrested Over Deadly Collision
The smash happened around 4pm on Saturday. Emergency crews fought to save the victims but the woman and 15-year-old passenger were pronounced dead on the spot. The injured 13-year-old was rushed to hospital.
The three were all in the same vehicle when the collision occurred. The driver of the other car, a 35-year-old man alone in his vehicle, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He is currently in custody.
Police Launch Urgent Appeal for Witnesses
Greater Manchester Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is desperate for anyone who saw what happened or has any relevant information to step forward.
Officers are especially keen to hear from those with dashcam, mobile phone, CCTV, or doorbell footage from near the crash site leading up to the smash.
