Two Arrested After Tragic Woolwich Teen Murder
Police have arrested two men in connection with the fatal stabbing of 15-year-old Daejuan Campbell in Woolwich, London. The teenager was found wounded on Eglinton Road on Sunday evening but tragically died despite emergency efforts.
Stabbing Shocks Woolwich Community
Officers rushed to the scene at around 6:35pm on 22 September after reports of a disturbance. They discovered Daejuan suffering from a stab wound. Paramedics fought to save him, but he died a short time later.
Authorities have confirmed Daejuan’s identity and are providing specialist support to his grieving family.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Two suspects, aged 52 and 18, remain in custody on suspicion of murder as detectives probe what happened.
“My thoughts are with Daejuan’s loved ones as they try to come to terms with this heartbreaking incident,” said Detective Chief Superintendent Trevor Lawry. “Our investigation is in the early stages, and officers are working tirelessly to piece together what happened on Sunday evening.”
“Local officers will stay in the area to support the community. If you saw anything suspicious near Eglinton Road, saw anyone running from the scene, or have footage, please contact police immediately.”
