Two Men Arrested Over Murder of Footballer Cody Fisher in Birmingham Nightclub
Police have arrested two men suspected of murdering footballer Cody Fisher, who was fatally stabbed at a Birmingham nightclub on Boxing Day.
Suspects Held in Birmingham and London
A 22-year-old man was detained shortly after midnight at a Birmingham city centre address. A second suspect, aged 21, was arrested in London. Both are being questioned over the stabbing murder on the first floor of the Crane nightclub on Adderley Street, which happened just before midnight on December 26.
Investigation Progresses as Police Appeal for Witnesses
“We’re making good progress in our investigation and are building a better picture of what happened,” said DCI Ian Ingram of the Homicide team.
“We’ve been really pleased with the response from the public and have already had a number of witness accounts and images sent through, which will help with our investigation.
“It’s vital that we hear from everybody who saw any part of what happened that night – no matter how insignificant they think it might be.
“Cody’s family and friends are devastated by what happened, and we’ll continue to work to bring them answers.”
