Two Men Stabbed in Shocking Early-Morning Attack in Maidenhead
Police are hunting witnesses after a vicious stabbing left two men injured in Maidenhead’s Blenheim Road area. The brutal incident happened between 3.45am and 4am near the junction with Victor Close.
Group of Up to Eight Attack Three Men
Three men were confronted by up to eight black males. One attacker, described as average build with short dark hair and wearing a grey hoodie, was armed with a knife.
The standoff quickly turned violent. Two of the victims were stabbed – one, a 22-year-old, suffered multiple wounds to his body and legs. Another man was slashed across the arm. The third victim had a minor cut to the back of his head from an earlier scuffle.
Victim in Hospital with Serious Injuries
The 22-year-old remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition. Police say his injuries are not life-threatening.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Constable Will Holbrook of Maidenhead CID said:
“This is a serious incident involving a number of unknown suspects who used serious violence against another group. At this early stage, we believe the victims and offenders know each other and this was an isolated incident. There is no wider threat to the local community.”
Holbrook added:
“I understand the concern this incident may cause locally. We are thoroughly investigating and urge anyone who saw what happened to come forward. Please contact police on 101, quoting reference number 43200285967.”
