A major police op is underway in Kingstanding, Birmingham, after two people were stabbed in the early hours of Saturday morning (March 22).

West Midlands Police have sealed off two hotspots – near the Golden Hind pub on Kingstanding Road and along Hawthorn Road – as officers hunt for answers in this shocking attack.

Man Arrested After Knife Report

A police spokesperson revealed:

“We have a man in custody this morning following an incident in Birmingham. We were called to Blenheim Way, Oscott, shortly after 6.30am today after a report of a man with a knife. Officers attended and arrested a man in his 20s. He remains in custody while our enquiries continue.”

Emergency crews rushed both victims to hospital. Thankfully, their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

Cordons Cause Chaos on Local Roads

Police tape is blocking off key areas, causing traffic disruption and leaving local residents on edge.

“Our officers are remaining at the scene throughout this morning to gather evidence and speak to witnesses,” the police added. “Motorists are advised to avoid the area while we carry out our enquiries.”

Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up

West Midlands Police have appealed to anyone near the scene around the time of the stabbing to come forward.

“Anyone who was in the area at the time the incident took place can get in touch via 101 or Live Chat, quoting log 659 of 22 March.”
