Man in His 50s Dies After St Johns Road Brawl
Tragedy struck on St Johns Road late Monday night. Police rushed to the scene at 10.11pm following reports of an altercation at a local address.
Serious Injuries and Arrests
- Officers found two men with serious injuries.
- A man in his 50s was pronounced dead at the scene.
- A 36-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of murder, remains in hospital with injuries.
- Two women from the Isle of Wight, aged 29 and 52, were also arrested but later released without charge.
Police Keep Tight Lid on Investigation
Superintendent Jim Pegler said: “The investigation remains ongoing, with a continued police presence on St Johns Road and surrounding areas as enquiries proceed.”
“We believe this is an isolated incident with no wider risk to the public.”
