Unilever Pulls Magnum Almond Ice Cream Sticks Over Plastic and Metal Fears

Unilever has launched a voluntary recall of its Magnum Almond Ice Cream Sticks (3 packs) after fears the treats may contain plastic and metal fragments. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has slammed down a strict “do not eat” warning, branding the product unsafe.

Recall Hits Specific Batches

This latest recall comes hot on the heels of a similar urgent call in March involving Magnum Classic Ice Cream, also due to possible metal contamination.

The affected Magnum Almond Ice Cream Sticks come in 3x100ml packs, with these batch codes:

  • L3338
  • L3339
  • L3340
  • L3341
  • L3342

All with best before dates until the end of December 2025.

What You Need To Do

If you’ve bought any of these packs, stop eating them immediately. Instead, get in touch with Unilever’s careline on 0800 146 252 or email [email protected] for advice.

Unilever stresses that customer safety remains their top priority and apologises for any hassle caused. They confirm no other Magnum products are affected by the recall.

Retailers On Alert

The FSA confirms that all shops selling the recalled ice cream will display clear notices to warn shoppers. Consumers should stay alert and follow any official product recall warnings to keep safe.
