Hit-and-Run Horror in Swindon: Cyclist Seriously Injured
Wiltshire Police are hunting for witnesses after a hit-and-run crash involving a cyclist in Swindon last night. The smash happened between 8:40pm and 8:50pm on the toucan crossing of the Great Western Way, near Bruce Street Bridges roundabout, just past the Galton Way junction.
Driver Flees, Victim Left Severely Injured
The vehicle involved sped off without stopping. Police have yet to identify the car or driver. Enquiries are ongoing to track them down.
The victim, a woman in her 40s, suffered grave leg injuries and is currently in hospital receiving treatment.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
It’s believed the fleeing vehicle was heading from Bridgemead towards Bruce Street Bridges at the time.
