A woman has tragically died and a man was rushed to hospital after a nasty two-car collision in Warwickshire on Tuesday evening. The smash happened at the crossroads of Mere Lane and Copston Lane in Wolvey, sparking a major emergency response.

West Midlands Ambulance Service got the call at 6:13pm, sending two ambulances, a paramedic officer, and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance Critical Care Car to the scene. An East Midlands BASICS doctor was also on hand.
Devastating Scene at Crash Site
Both cars were severely damaged. Emergency crews found two victims: the woman driver, in critical condition, and the male driver. Firefighters gave basic life support as paramedics quickly began advanced treatment. Unfortunately, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Injured Man Airlifted to Hospital
The man suffered serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to University Hospital coventry/" title="Coventry" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Coventry and Warwickshire for urgent care. Authorities have not released the names or given details on the crash cause.
