A woman in her 30s has tragically died following a heavy emergency services response at the Cliftonville seafront in Margate on Sunday, January 19.
Emergency services, including an air ambulance, multiple police cars, fire engines, and ambulances, were called to the scene at around 3:20 pm near the Queen’s Court flats and The Albion Rooms along Eastern Esplanade.
Emergency Response
The air ambulance landed near The Oval Bandstand and Lawns shortly after 4:00 pm. Despite the efforts of emergency personnel, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The air ambulance departed the area at approximately 5:15 pm.
A police spokesperson confirmed:
“Kent Police was called following a report of concern for a person near to Eastern Esplanade in Margate at around 3:20 pm on Sunday, January 19. Officers attended the scene with other emergency services where a woman in her 30s was pronounced deceased. The woman’s next of kin has been informed.”
Circumstances
Authorities have stated that the death is not being treated as suspicious, and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
