Woman in Her 30s Hit by Bus on Isle of Wight
A woman has been rushed to hospital after being knocked down by a Southern Vectis bus on South Street, Newport, this evening.
Emergency Services Rush to Scene
Police and ambulance crews were called just before 9pm on Saturday following reports of a collision between a bus and a pedestrian. The woman, described as being in her 30s, was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital. Her injuries are currently unknown.
Road Blocked as Police Investigate
Officers have cordoned off part of South Street, with the southbound carriageway still blocked. Drivers are urged to avoid the area while police carry out their enquiries.
