Pensioner Hit by Bus in Isle of Wight Horror Crash
A pensioner was rushed to hospital after a nasty collision with a bus in Freshwater, Isle of Wight. The crash happened at 9:20am Tuesday on Afton Road, right near the Esso Garage.
Bus and Cyclist Collide as Bus Makes Right Turn
The smash involved a Southern Vectis bus and a pedal cyclist. The two collided as the bus was turning right into the road. Emergency crews quickly scrambled to the scene to help the injured man.
Victim Spinal-Boarded and Taken to Hospital
Witnesses said the pensioner cyclist was carefully strapped to a spinal board before being rushed off to St Mary’s Hospital in Newport. The extent of his injuries has not yet been revealed.
