Cyclist Seriously Injured in Crash with Skip Lorry in Portsmouth

Hampshire police are hunting for witnesses after a 33-year-old female cyclist suffered serious head injuries in a crash with a skip lorry in Portsmouth.

Crash on Quartermaine Road

The smash happened just after 11.30am on Friday, March 29, on Quartermaine Road. The cyclist, a Portsmouth local, was rushed to Southampton General Hospital and is currently receiving treatment for her injuries.

The skip lorry driver, a 43-year-old man also from Portsmouth, escaped unscathed.

Police Seek Witnesses and Dash Cam Footage

Officers from Hampshire Constabulary are investigating the collision and want to hear from anyone who saw what happened. They are especially keen to get any dash cam footage from the area that morning.

“If you witnessed the incident or have any relevant footage, please contact PC Cumming at the Havant Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting reference 44190108874,” police stated.
