A young girl has been rushed to the hospital following a horrifying attack by an XL Bully dog inside a residence in Falmouth, Cornwall.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident around 7:10 pm on Saturday, prompting a swift response from both the ambulance service and the police. The child, who remains unnamed, sustained “serious injuries” during the attack.
According to a statement issued by Devon & Cornwall Police, officers were called to a property in Lowenek Close, Falmouth, following reports of a child being bitten by a dog. The girl was subsequently transported to Treliske Hospital for treatment. Fortunately, her injuries are described as serious but not life-threatening. Her next of kin accompanied her to the hospital.
Upon arrival at the scene, authorities seized the dog involved in the attack, believed to be an XL Bully breed.
