The Metropolitan Police have launched a manhunt for a driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run incident that claimed the life of a Deliveroo rider. The heartbreaking incident occurred on the evening of Thursday, May 11th, 2023, around 8:30 PM at the junction of Leigh Court Road, Valley Road, and Knollys Road. A spokesman for the Met police:
Police were called at 8.15pmon Thursday, 11 May to reports of a collision involving a car and a motorcycle in Leigham Court Road SW16.
Officers attended with LAS and London’s Air Ambulance.
The motorcyclist, a male aged in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers believe they know his identity and have informed the next of kin.
Police are working to trace a number of people who are believed to have fled the scene on foot.
At this early stage, there have been no arrests.
Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.
