Sex Beast Craig Elliott Jailed for Assault on Under-13 Girl
Craig Elliott, 32, has been found guilty of two counts of sexual assault against a girl under 13 at Durham Crown Court. The verdict came on the third day of his trial, confirming his horrific crimes.
Trial Dogged by Absence and Mystery
The trial kicked off on Monday afternoon despite Elliott’s absence and no good reason given by his defence. Rumours swirled that he might be hiding out in Ireland. The offences date back to early October 2021.
Once from West Crescent, Easington Colliery, Elliott was living in East Kilbride, Lanarkshire, Scotland, while on remand. He had denied the charges at an earlier plea hearing on November 2.
Judge Slams Elliott with Prison and Sex Offender Registration
After the jury’s guilty verdicts, Judge James Adkin sentenced Elliott to 40 months behind bars. The judge also ordered Elliott to register as a sex offender indefinitely.
The Crown will push for a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and a restraining order to protect the victim once Elliott is arrested and brought to court. Meanwhile, the judge has issued a bench warrant with no bail, demanding Elliott’s immediate arrest.
