£20,000 Crimestoppers Prize for Killer’s Capture

Crimestoppers, the independent charity, is offering a whopping £20,000 reward for anonymous tips that lead to an arrest and conviction in John’s murder.

Detective Pleads for Public Help

Detective Chief Inspector Brian Howie said:

“John was a father, grandfather, and a well-liked neighbour who was brutally murdered in his own home. We are making progress, but we need the public’s help to get justice for John and his family.”

“Did you see or hear anything unusual around Carlton Road on the evening of Sunday, 12 October? Any signs of a disturbance, a struggle, or suspicious behaviour? Even the smallest piece of information could be crucial.”

“If you knew John, did you notice a change in him in the days or weeks leading up to his death? Please, come forward and help us bring closure to his grieving family.”

Family’s Heartbreaking Plea

John’s family released a moving statement:

“As a family, we are still struggling to understand why someone would harm a defenceless 75-year-old man in his own home. We cannot move on with our lives until we have answers. To anyone with information, please come forward and help the police get justice for our family.”

Neighbours Devastated

Neighbours described John as a “pillar of the community” and shared their shock:

“This is a close-knit community. We are all reeling from the shock of John’s murder. He was a lovely man, always friendly, and had been part of the heart of this neighbourhood for years. We can’t imagine who would do something so horrific. We hope this appeal will bring the answers we’re all desperate for.”

Crimestoppers Urge Witnesses to Speak Up

Alexa Loukas, Regional Manager at Crimestoppers, said:
