Teen Charged with Murder of Man Stabbed in Thornton Heath
John Budal, 19, of Ena Road, SW16, has been charged with murder, robbery, possession of an offensive weapon, and possession of cannabis. He appeared at Bromley Magistrates Court on Saturday, 30 December.
Budal has been remanded in custody and will next appear at the Old Bailey on Wednesday, 3 January.
Deadly Attack in Thornton Heath Under Investigation
Victim Michael Patrick Afonso Peixoto, 27, was found with fatal stab wounds on Mayfield Crescent, Thornton Heath, around 10:30pm on Tuesday, 19 December. Police believe a group of men were involved in the savage attack.
A 22-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder on Sunday, 24 December, has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
