Gravesend Man Slapped with Charges Over £14,000 Jewellery Heist

Michael Gulas from Wallis Park, Gravesend, has been hit with a serious charge after Kent Police uncovered a jewellery theft worth more than £14,000. The haul was stolen from a business in Northgate on 15 September 2023.

More Shoplifting Allegations Pile Up

Gulas faces two additional shoplifting charges linked to incidents in Folkestone last month:

  • £270 worth of headphones and aftershave stolen on 26 October
  • £116 worth of chocolates pinched on 23 October

Also Charged with Burglary in Folkestone

On top of that, Gulas has been charged with burgling a Coolinge Road property on 21 October. Items taken include a wallet with a bank card, a laptop, and a mobile phone.

In Custody and Facing Court

The suspect appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on 28 October and was remanded in custody. His next hearing is set for canterbury/" title="Canterbury" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Canterbury Crown Court, with the date still to be confirmed.
