Rotherham Man Charged with Murder After Stabbing
Ryan Connor, from Davis Street in Clifton, Rotherham, now faces murder charges following a stabbing that shocked the local community.
Stabbing at Traffic Collision Turns Deadly
At 7.16pm on Sunday, June 26, emergency crews rushed to Herringthorpe Valley Road after reports of a traffic crash. However, officers soon discovered the victim had been stabbed.
The next day, a forensic post-mortem confirmed Andre Lee died from a stab wound. Detectives officially opened a murder investigation, with specialist officers supporting Andre’s grieving family.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
“While extensive efforts have led to the murder charge being accepted by the Crown Prosecution Service, our work does not stop there,” said DCI Mick Hakin, leading the probe. “We urge anyone who witnessed the attack and hasn’t spoken to police to come forward. We don’t believe there is any wider threat to the community.”
Connor was remanded in custody and will appear at Sheffield Crown Court on Thursday, August 4.
