Around 300 homes across nine postcodes in Newport have been hit by a sudden power cut tonight. Engineers from Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) are on the scene.
Blunder on the Street Sparks Outage
The blackout was caused when a company installing ducting accidentally cut through a low voltage power cable. This mishap has left numerous properties without electricity.
