Gun-toting Drug Dealer Slapped with 13½ Years Behind Bars
A 43-year-old man has been locked up for over 13 years after pleading guilty to serious firearms offences at Leicester Crown Court.
Keon Campbell Caught with Guns and Drugs
Keon Campbell, also known as Leon Hall, appeared in court on Monday 22 February. He admitted to:
- Possessing prohibited firearms for sale or transfer
- Possessing items used to convert imitation firearms
- Possessing ammunition for sale or transfer
Campbell was arrested on 13 August 2019 while driving in Cooks Lane, Wigston, following police intelligence linking him to class A drug supply.
Police Find Arsenal and Drugs in Blaby Hideouts
Investigations led officers to two Blaby addresses tied to Campbell. Searches uncovered pistols, ammunition, and drugs. He previously admitted:
- Being involved in supplying a controlled drug
- Possessing class B drugs (cannabis) with intent to supply
- Possessing prohibited firearms and ammunition
Detective’s Warning: Deadly Arsenal Off the Streets
“Despite Campbell initially telling us the drugs were for his own use, there’s no doubt they were headed for the streets of Leicester, Leicestershire, Rutland, and beyond,” said Detective Sergeant Jason Fell.
“We also recovered guns and ammunition that Campbell shouldn’t have had – weapons that could have had fatal consequences.
“I’m glad he has admitted his crimes and hope the public feels reassured knowing he’s now behind bars.”
