King’s Hedges Man Caught Red-Handed in Drug Deal
James Stephenson’s luck ran out last November when officers from the Constabulary’s Neighbourhood Support Team spotted him mid-suspected drug deal in Union Lane. The 40-year-old was found with cash, a phone, and bags of heroin and crack cocaine.
More Drugs Found in Home Raid
A search of Stephenson’s home uncovered another mobile phone and a stash of cannabis. The evidence sealed his fate.
Prison Time for Drug Supply
Stephenson appeared at Peterborough Crown Court on March 5, where he pled guilty to possession with intent to supply heroin and crack cocaine, plus possession of cannabis. He was slapped with a prison sentence of three years and four months.
Police Crack Down on Drug Crime
PC Piers Kitson of the Southern Neighbourhood Support Team said: “We’re committed to ensuring the streets of Cambridgeshire are safer by proactively disrupting drug networks and supply which brings a whole host of criminality to our county as well as harm to the most vulnerable people in our communities.”
