Carlisle crook Stewart Brown slapped with tough Community Behaviour Order

Stewart Brown banned from key Carlisle stores

Stewart Brown, 26, of Ridley Road, Carlisle, has been hit with a tough prison sentence and a strict Community Behaviour Order after a court hearing on 22 December 2022.

Crime crackdown targets shop trespass

The order bans Brown from entering any premises linked to the Carlisle Shopwatch and Retailers Against Crime scheme. That includes three major local stores:

  • The Range on Currock Road
  • McColls on Blackwell Road
  • Tesco on Warwick Road

Serious consequences for breaching order

If Brown breaks the terms of this Community Behaviour Order, he faces a prison sentence of up to five years. Authorities are making it clear: shop crooks will get no second chances in Carlisle.
