Months of Abuse Lead to Desperate Escape
His victim finally found the courage to call police last December after enduring repeated attacks at their home. The abuse escalated, forcing her to flee for safety.
- In April, Ford repeatedly punched her face, head, and ribs, leaving bruises, two black eyes, and bruised ribs.
- In November, he kicked her back, ripped her coat, yanked her hair, and threw her to the floor, raining repeated kicks to her head.
- On December 14, Ford slapped her hard, knocking her down before throwing her belongings outside. She managed to escape to a refuge, then contacted the police days later.
Photos Seal Ford’s Fate, Police Praise Victim’s Bravery
“Ford first denied any assault until shown photos of his victim’s injuries taken after each attack,” said local crime investigator Chris Brinicombe. “He broke down and confessed.”
“The victim suffered multiple injuries from this disgusting behaviour, which we refuse to tolerate. She deserves praise for documenting her wounds—a picture truly helped ensure Ford faces justice.”
