Ex-Paedophile Caught Skirting Sexual Harm Order, Jailed 32 Months

Lee Billingham, 46, formerly known as Lee Murray, has been sentenced to 32 months behind bars at Northampton Crown Court. The sentence follows his breach of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) imposed back in 2014 after multiple offences involving sexual contact and communication with minors under 16.

Secret Private Browsing Spells Trouble

During a routine probation visit, officers discovered Billingham was using private browser mode on his mobile phone—an act explicitly banned under his SHPO conditions. Further checks revealed he had also wiped his internet history on both his phone and tablet.

Late Guilty Plea Fails to Save Jail Time

Billingham, of South Holme Court, Northampton, faced trial but pleaded guilty to two breaches only on what would have been day one of the hearing. The court handed down a 32-month prison sentence, sending a clear message that breaching SHPOs won’t be tolerated.
