Predator Sam Collier Busted in Shocking Child Sex Crime Sting
Paedophile Hunter Sting Ends in Arrest
Sam Collier, 28, homeless and hopeless, was found guilty at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Thursday (13 October) for arranging and facilitating child sex offences dating back to 2019. Collier fell straight into the trap set by a paedophile hunter group posing as a 14-year-old girl.
On 3 January, Collier sent lewd messages and tried to meet the decoy for sex. But instead of a victim, he met determined vigilantes and was arrested by police waiting at the scene.
Facebook Grooming Sparks Missing Person Alarm
Collier’s depravity didn’t stop there. He befriended a 15-year-old girl on Facebook, fooled her into thinking they had a relationship, and subjected her to sexual chat. He pushed for meet-ups and explicit photos.
A month later, the girl was reported missing by her mum, only to be found with Collier the following day.
Police Praise Vigilant Heroes and Brave Victim
“Collier’s grooming behaviour was predatory and despicable,” said Detective Constable Katrina Sands from West Midlands Police’s public protection unit. “We know the devastating effect this can have on those affected.
“Thanks to the paedophile hunter group for exposing him, and the young girl who bravely spoke out when found. We don’t underestimate how tough that was.
“Because of her courage, Collier faces a lengthy prison sentence, lifetime placement on the sex offenders register, and a sexual harm prevention order.”
