Weapons Factory Found in Frankie Burton’s Bedroom

Cops swooped on Frankie Burton’s home on the evening of April 20 last year, arresting him over a suspected arson attack. What they discovered blew their minds — a full-blown weapons factory hidden in his bedroom.

Arsenal of Homemade Guns and Deadly Tools

Inside a suitcase, officers found:

  • Homemade guns
  • An ammunition box with 17 bullets — a mix of live and blank rounds
  • Eight hunting and flick knives
  • A knuckleduster
  • A baseball bat
  • A stab-proof vest

They also uncovered various tools capable of assembling homemade ammo and converting firearms into lethal weapons.

More Guns Stashed in the Loft

Further searches of Burton’s loft in Roberts Green Road, Upper Gornal, revealed additional guns, 10 live bullets, and a CS spray canister.

Dark Obsession with Murder and Firearms

Burton, 31, was hauled into custody. A deep dive into his online activities showed a chilling obsession. He researched “headshots,” firearms conversion cases, and sentencing guidelines, painting a terrifying picture. The court heard how he wasn’t just a gun enthusiast — his interest hinted at sinister criminal intentions.

Six Years Behind Bars for Troubling Criminal

Burton pleaded guilty to multiple offences at Wolverhampton Crown Court, including possession of firearms, ammunition, CS spray, and keeping guns without licences. He was sentenced to six years and four months in jail.

“Burton was stockpiling an arsenal of weapons at his home including homemade guns he was converting as well as hoarding knives,” said Detective Inspector Lisa Jackson.

“He had a disturbing fascination with murder and reloading ammunition, and had documents with step-by-step guides. He researched murder probes, anatomy of headshots, and firearms conversion cases.”

“The judge rightly called this a ‘worrying case’ and dismissed claims it was just a hobby. Burton is a ‘troubling individual’ and a real threat to the public, so we’re relieved he’s behind bars.”
