Michael Manion’s horrific crimes
In 2017, Michael Manion, 22, from Nutley Place, Hove, was found guilty of raping a nine-year-old girl three times. He was also convicted of raping a 16-year-old girl. Manion was handed 54 months for each offence against the child, running concurrently with a 30-month sentence for the attack on the teenager.
Early release sparks outrage
Despite the severity of his crimes, Manion will be released after serving just half his sentence. The vile predator denied all allegations, forcing the victims to face the trauma of giving evidence in court.
