Reading Man Caught Red-Handed with Class A Drugs and Cash

Ervis Hasanaj, 26, from Rowley Road, Reading, has been slammed with 30 months behind bars. The charge? Possession of Class A drugs and criminal property.

Police Snag Hasanaj After Stopping BMW

Officers patrolling Marlborough High Street on September 5, 2019, pulled over a BMW 3 Series. Hasanaj was the passenger and gave false details on the spot. A quick search found cocaine on him.

Shocking Stash Uncovered in Custody and Ford Fusion

But it didn’t end there. A further search at custody revealed three more bags of Class A drugs hidden in his underwear. Hasanaj was also found with a Ford Fusion car key. Police searched the car and found loads of snap bags stuffed inside a sock – plus a hefty wad of cash.

“Hasanaj pleaded guilty to possession of Class A drugs and money laundering,” the court confirmed.

Jail Time and Previous Convictions Add Up

The court credited Hasanaj with 193 days already served. At an earlier hearing, he admitted possessing stolen identity documents and was locked up for another four months, with a £122 victim surcharge slapped on him.
