Peterborough Drug Dealer Busted with Crack and Heroin Stash
Bruno Afonso, 27, was caught red-handed driving around Peterborough in a black Renault Clio on 8 October last year.
Cash, Phones, and Hidden Drugs Found
Officers from the St Ives neighbourhood team pulled Afonso over and found £300 in cash and two mobile phones in his car. But the real shock came during the transport to the station.
Afonso admitted to hiding drugs in his underwear. Police uncovered 44 wraps of crack cocaine and 27 wraps of heroin.
Justice Served at Peterborough Crown Court
Yesterday (9 November), Afonso was sentenced to 30 months behind bars after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply both crack cocaine and heroin.
Detective Constable Steve Surtees said: “With their local knowledge our neighbourhood officers can spot when something isn’t quite right and in this case their instincts were right.
“There is nowhere to hide in this county for drug dealers and those who seek to exploit the vulnerabilities of others.”
