County Lines Drug Dealer Jailed for Seven Years in Brighton
Jesutomisin Ifeoluwa, 22, from Greenwich, was locked up for seven years at Lewes Crown Court on August 19. He pleaded guilty to supplying class A drugs – crack cocaine and heroin – and handling criminal property.
Caught Red-Handed in Brighton City Centre Deal
Plain clothes cops spotted Ifeoluwa and an accomplice conducting a drug deal in Brighton city centre on February 25, 2020. Both men were arrested and linked to a hostel on Seafield Road, Hove, used by vulnerable adults and drug addicts.
Officers raided the hostel, finding Ifeoluwa in a bedroom with £970 cash, several mobile phones, and drug paraphernalia. Clothing matched CCTV footage showing him entering and leaving the address alongside his dealer pals.
Key Player in County Lines and ‘Cuckooing’ Exploitation
Police found Ifeoluwa’s phone packed with messages about dealing crack and heroin, plus videos of him taunting vulnerable drug users. Evidence revealed he had a controlling role in the heroin and crack supply chain and was involved in “cuckooing.”
Cuckooing is where city gangs move into smaller towns, taking over the homes of vulnerable people to stash and sell drugs. The homes become supply hubs, exploiting local addicts.
Police Warn: Exploiters Will Be Punished
“Jesutomisin Ifeoluwa exploited vulnerable members of the community for his own gain and brought heroin and crack cocaine into our city with no regard for the damage these drugs cause,” said investigating officer Rose Horan.
“County lines drug dealing and cuckooing take advantage of the most vulnerable, often involving violence and exploitation. This conviction sends a strong message: perpetrators will be punished.”
