Drug Dealer Ryan Troy Jailed for Three Years in Cheshire
Ryan Troy, 27, of Spinners Lane, Poynton, was slammed with a three-year prison sentence at Chester Crown Court on Tuesday, April 4. He was found guilty of possession with intent to supply Class A cocaine and Class B cannabis.
Police Nabbed Troy Trying to Dodge Arrest
The bust began back in March 2021 when officers spotted Troy trying to evade them just yards from his home. Upon arrest, cops found him carrying drugs, drug paraphernalia, a hefty cash stash, and three mobile phones. The hunt didn’t stop there.
A thorough search of Troy’s home uncovered more illegal substances, drug gear, and weapons.
Text Evidence Seals Troy’s Fate
Despite denying any role in drug dealing and claiming the stash was for personal use, Troy stayed tight-lipped about his suppliers. Police later cracked open the seized phones, exposing messages arranging deals and drug drop-offs across Poynton.
Detective Constable Daniella Jervis said:
“The overwhelming evidence left Ryan Troy with little choice but to plead guilty. This case highlights the dedication of officers who went above and beyond during this investigation.”
“Their efforts took a large quantity of dangerous drugs and weapons off Poynton’s streets. Troy’s sentence should warn others thinking about flooding Cheshire communities with illegal substances.”
