Drug Dealer Banged Up After Three Strikes Selling Crack and Heroin
Armani Wilkin Gets 4½ Years for Repeated Drug Crimes
Armani Wilkin has been jailed for four-and-a-half years after being caught not once, but three times dealing crack cocaine and heroin. His drug offences date back to 2018 and took place in Braintree and Colchester.
£1,329 Seized Under Misuse of Drugs Act
The court also ordered Wilkin to forfeit £1,329, recovered under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.
Police Crack Down on Dealers Profiting from Crime
Detective Constable Gemma White said: “Wilkin is a serial offender who has now lost his freedom because of his crimes. We will also use legislation to ensure criminals don’t benefit from their crimes, and will apply to the courts for any assets to be seized that we think have been gained illegally, as in this case.”
Community Harm and Youth Exploitation
“Drugs cause so much harm to our communities because dealers take advantage of vulnerable people and use them so they can continue their illegal trade. Drugs are also associated with violence and anti-social behaviour, and the exploitation of young people who are fed false claims about the lifestyle they could lead. There is never any good to come out of being involved in this criminal lifestyle, only risks and harm.”
