Massive Cannabis Bust in Tunbridge Wells: Nearly 9kg Seized
On Thursday 27 April 2023, the Tonbridge Community Policing Team swooped on a property in Culverden Park Road, Tunbridge Wells, and hit the jackpot.
Nearly 9kg of Herbal Cannabis and Vapes Confiscated
Officers seized a whopping 8.922 kilogrammes of herbal cannabis, 83 cannabis vapes, and £1,280 in cash. They also recovered a mobile phone during the raid.
Man Arrested and Charged After Drugs Analysis
Cameron Wade, 25, of Culverden Park Road, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis with intent to supply. Charges also include involvement in supply from 17 January to 27 April 2023 and possession of criminal property (the cash found).
Street Value Tops £34,000
The drugs, analysed by police, have an estimated street value of at least £34,650, making this one of the biggest busts in the area recently.
Wade pled guilty to all charges at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday 28 April. He was remanded and will be sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court on a date to be confirmed.
