Drug Dealer Caught Red-Handed with Cocaine Stash in Ford Fiesta

Suspicious Deal on Silverdale Road Sparks Police Action

Emiljano Perdeda thought he could hide cocaine behind his Ford Fiesta’s centre console. But police saw through his scheme after spotting him acting dodgy on Silverdale Road. On 19 March 2020, Tunbridge Wells Community Policing Team officers caught a man approaching the driver for a suspected drug deal.

Cash and Cocaine Found in Car Search

Perdeda was behind the wheel when officers searched him under the Misuse of Drugs Act. They found £430 in cash on his person and in the vehicle. Perdeda claimed the money came from his window cleaning job. But a deeper search revealed a cigarette packet tucked behind car trim containing 11 packets of cocaine. The dealer was promptly arrested.

Mobile Phone Ties Perdeda to Drug Supply Network

Police also seized Perdeda’s phone, which held postcodes linked to potential drug users he planned to supply. This digital evidence sealed his fate.

Sentenced to 2.5 Years for Cocaine Supply

Taken to Maidstone Crown Court, Perdeda pled guilty to possessing cocaine with intent to supply. On 28 April, he was sentenced to two and a half years behind bars.

“Perdeda has become the latest criminal to pay the price for trying to deal drugs in our town,” said Tunbridge Wells Chief Insp. Pete Steenhuis. “We’ve got eyes and ears everywhere. This sentence shows how our officers keep tackling drug dealers. Residents, if you see anything suspicious, call 999 for crimes in progress or 101 otherwise.”
