Dealer’s Mercedes Busted with Secret Cocaine Stash
Hidden Cocaine Found in Secret Car Compartment
A drug dealer was caught red-handed hiding cocaine in a secret compartment inside his Mercedes. Leozert Kapllani, 27, was stopped by police on Madingley Road, Cambridge, on 31 January. Officers discovered 27 wraps of cocaine cleverly concealed inside two socks, one stash hidden beneath the cup holder base.
Fake Licence and No Insurance Add to the Charges
Kapllani also carried a fake driving licence and was driving without insurance. A search of his Chesterton Road home uncovered the matching half of the cocaine-filled socks, linking him further to the stash.
Two Years and Three Months Behind Bars
At Cambridge Crown Court on 29 March, Kapllani pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine, possession of false identity documents, and driving offences. He was sentenced to two years and three months in prison.
“We’ll continue to target people like Kapllani who deal drugs in our county. Drugs and dealing bring misery, despair and violence to our communities and those responsible will be put before the courts.” – PC Andy Watters
