Ex-police officer Jamie Woodhams is facing serious charges after a Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate probe.
Six Rape Charges and More
The 51-year-old from Ashford has been charged with six counts of rape and one count of sexual assault. The alleged crimes date back to incidents involving two women in Kent and other locations between 2006 and 2022.
Misconduct in Public Office Accusations
Woodhams is also accused of three counts of misconduct in a public office. These charges stem from alleged relationships he formed with women he met while on duty.
Court Appearance Set for June
Woodhams resigned from the police force in April 2022. He is due to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 27 June.
