Couple to Face Trial Over Death of Baby Lily-Mai
Darren Hurrell, 25, from Derby, and Lauren Saint-George, 25, of Enfield, are set to stand trial on Monday, June 13 at Wood Green Crown Court.
Tragic Death Sparks Murder Charges
Both face serious charges following the heartbreaking death of 31-week-old Lily-Mai St George. The Met’s Specialist Crime Command launched a homicide investigation after the infant died back on February 2, 2018.
Chilling Charges Unveiled
On June 1, 2021, Hurrell and Saint-George were charged with:
- Murder involving a child under one year old
- Allowing or causing harm to a child or vulnerable adult
- Manslaughter through assault, mistreatment, neglect, or abandonment causing unnecessary suffering or injury
