Man Arrested After Woman Falsely Imprisoned, Poisoned and Raped in Leominster

A shocking crime rocked Leominster as police launched an investigation into a serious incident where a woman was falsely imprisoned, poisoned, and raped. The terrifying ordeal unfolded at a property on South Street from the morning of Thursday, September 4, continuing into the early hours of the following day.

Details of the Arrest

The victim, a woman in her 50s, suffered a harrowing attack involving false imprisonment and rape. Police arrested a 50-year-old man on suspicion of rape, false imprisonment, and administering a poisonous or noxious substance with intent to cause harm. The suspect has since been released on bail while investigations carry on.

West Mercia Police are urging anyone who saw anything suspicious on South Street between 9am and 10am on Thursday to step forward.
