Tragedy in Dagenham: Two Young Boys Found Dead at Home

Shock in Cornwallis Road

On Friday, December 16, emergency services rushed to a home on Cornwallis Road, Dagenham, after a chilling report. They found the bodies of two young boys – aged two and five – who were tragically pronounced dead at the scene.

Their family has been informed and is being supported by specialist officers. Post-mortem exams and formal identification are set to take place soon as part of the ongoing investigation.

Neighbour Reports ‘Loud Screaming’ Before Discovery

A neighbour revealed hearing “loud screaming” on the day the boys were found. Police were called to a nearby disturbance on Maxey Road shortly after and arrested a 44-year-old woman in connection with the deaths. She remains in custody.

A man was also arrested near the scene but has since been released without charge. Both children were known to the woman.

Police Launch Full Investigation

Detective Inspector Sean Treweek of the Met’s Specialist Crime Command said:

“This is clearly an extremely distressing incident with many unanswered questions.”

He thanked locals for their help so far, adding:

“Officers and partner agencies are working hard to establish the full circumstances of these two tragic deaths. More officers will be visible in the area. Anyone with information or concerns should come forward.”
