Man Charged Over Series of Hate Crimes in Stamford Hill

Abdullah Qureshi Fronts Court

Abdullah Qureshi, 28, from Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court today. He faces serious charges including one count of racially or religiously aggravated wounding or grievous bodily harm.

In addition, Qureshi is charged with four counts of racially or religiously aggravated common assault and one count of racially or religiously aggravated criminal damage.

Five Incidents Spark Police Probe

The Central East Command Unit launched an investigation after five separate incidents hit the Stamford Hill area on Wednesday, 18 August.

Next Court Date Set

Qureshi was remanded in custody and will appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on Friday, 1 October.
