Trainee Solicitor and Special Police Constable Caught with Shocking Child Abuse Images
Jack Mallinson, 25, a trainee solicitor and special police constable with West Yorkshire Police, has been unmasked by the National Crime Agency (NCA) as the user behind the username winterz100. He used the encrypted messaging app Wickr to trade vile child abuse content.
Horrific Digital Haul Discovered on Devices
Mallinson was arrested on 7 January last year after officers seized multiple electronic devices. On his mobile phone, police found a staggering 3,710 indecent images of children (IIOC) spanning categories A to C, with category A being the most serious. His gaming laptop contained 14 extreme pornographic bestiality images, adding to the horror.
Guilty Plea and Imminent Sentencing
The 25-year-old pleaded guilty to five counts of making and possessing indecent images of children and one count of publishing obscene posts at Leeds Magistrates’ Court on 2 March. He faces sentencing at Leeds Crown Court on 30 March.
NCA Vows to Fight Online Child Exploitation
“Behind every one of these images and videos is a young victim, who is powerless and exploited,” said NCA operations manager Matthew Brooks. “The NCA will continue to do everything it can to bring individuals like Mallinson to justice and protect those affected by online child sexual abuse.”
