Brighouse Man Held Over Shocking Whinney Hill Park Attack

Brian Lee Marsden, 44, of Whinney Hill Park, Brighouse, appeared before Leeds Magistrates yesterday charged with attempted murder. The charge relates to a violent incident in Whinney Hill Park on Monday, April 5.

Victim Hospitalised After Brutal Assault

The victim, a man, was rushed to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries following the attack at around 4.30pm. The assault took place behind a local fast food joint in the park.

Police Say Incident ‘Isolated and Unusual’

Marsden was remanded in custody after the hearing. Police described the attack as “isolated and unusual” for the normally peaceful area. Enquiries into the case are ongoing.

Witnesses Urged to Come Forward
