Kelly Stewart Fatally Attacked Near Church
Kieran Rifat, 21, from Grange Road, Plaistow, faces a murder charge over the death of 41-year-old Kelly Stewart. The tragic incident unfolded on Thursday, 26 March, near Memorial Community Church on Barking Road, E13.
Police Called to Scene
Officers rushed to the location at 3.09pm, where Kelly Stewart was found dead. The cause of death is under investigation as Rifat was swiftly arrested.
Charged and Remanded
Rifat appeared in custody at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 3 April, charged with murder. He was remanded and is due to appear at the Central Criminal Court on Tuesday, 7 April.
